Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that is based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. This method has shown to be effective in numerous scientific studies for symptoms of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and substance use in children, adolescents, and adults. CBT is a collaborative approach that may may involve "homework" outside of the meeting to build confidence, enhance coping skills, and ultimately improve quality of life.

Parent Management Training (PMT) is a family of treatment programs that aims to build parent-child relationships, teach positive reinforcement methods for disruptive behaviors, and improve parent mental health. Our approach draws on the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) model, which has been successful in trials of school age children with oppositional behaviors and emotional outbursts.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a specific type of CBT that is effective in helping children and teens who are experiencing distress from acutely stressful or traumatic experiences. Over 25 years of research have shown this approach to be effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression related to trauma as well as providing caregivers with the necessary tools to support their children. 

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps children overcome upsetting beliefs and negative emotions related to traumatic experiences.

This approach is popular with individuals experiencing chronic pain or health related conditions and can be helpful in facing change or adapting to new life situations.
