Where are we located?

Great question! Lots of research supports the idea that the settings where children spend their time shape all aspects of their development. Also, meeting with a clinician in a new environment can be a bit scary for kids, impacting their ability to perform on assessments and engage in treatment. For that reason, we enthusiastically maintain a concierge model for our services and will happily schedule the appointment in your space. This means no travel hassles for busy parents, no need to find childcare for siblings, and we get to meet kids where they’re at! However, if a home session isn’t in the cards for you, no worries! We can also schedule appointments in quiet and comfortable spaces around Brooklyn and Manhattan that are convenient for our clients who prefer an office setting.

Insurance Policy:

 

We do not take insurance at this time. However, we are happy to provide clients with the necessary documentation (i.e., monthly superbills), so they can work with their providers to obtain out-of-network reimbursement if applicable. Some or all fees may be covered by health insurance if a plan includes outpatient mental health coverage. However, insurance companies do not reimburse all conditions that may be the focus of assessment and psychotherapy. It is the client's responsibility to verify the specifics of their coverage. Please remember that our services are provided and charged to the client, not the insurance company, so the client is responsible for payment. 

 

Appointment Changes and Cancellations:

 

Missed and cancelled sessions pose issues for both clients and members of our clinical team. We hold a scheduled appointment time specifically for each client. We see a limited number of clients so that we can give each individual or family the focus and attention they deserve. It is extremely difficult for us to fill last-minute cancelled sessions on short notice. Therefore, we charge for appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice unless we can find another time during the week that works for both the client and our team. If we are able to find an alternative time, we will happily reschedule at no extra fee.
